This project also owes part of its existence to all of the people who built the ns-2 simulator over the past decade.

Funding support

Initial funding to develop ns-3 has been provided by the National Science Foundation and the Planète group at INRIA Sophia Antipolis. Additional funding has been provided by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Washington.

The USC Information Sciences Institute has graciously agreed to maintain the mailing lists for this project. Thanks also to the Google Summer of Code project for supporting three projects in 2008.
