If you do,

    ./waf --enable-modules=core

or

    ./waf --enable-modules=core --disable-python


you get the following error:

Waf: Leaving directory `/home/watrous/tmp/tmp/tmp/ns-3-allinone/ns-3-dev/build'
object 'ns3-network' was not found in uselib_local (required by 'test-runner')
