The ns-3 Consortium held a telecon on February 14, 2014, to discuss the following agenda. 1. Admin and action items - posting of meeting minutes - annual operational/financial report approval - budget status - brochure/handouts for promotional materials - website modifications (Paypal, layout) - Google Summer of Code 2014 - clarify ns-2/ns-3 status and relationship - small project ideas - Windows port of ns-3 The committee agreed to the posting of meeting minutes on the main web site. The annual operational/financial report was approved and posted on the main web site. The budget status was reviewed. Updated brochure/handouts for promotional materials were circulated. Tom reported that there had been no progress on additional website work (Paypal donation button, clarifications on ns-2/ns-3 status and relationship) due to other priorities. The small project ideas page had been revised in January. Finally, the Windows port of ns-3 was discussed and we agreed to discuss this further at the annual meeting. 2. Annual meeting planning - Workshop on ns-3: current status and plan - Training sessions planning -- would like to discuss fee structure and free passes - Annual Consortium meeting on Thursday morning (May 8)? - Developers meetings - Promoting the event - Travel grants/subsidies for students? Most of the meeting time was devoted to planning discussions for the annual meeting, and the details are omitted herein. The meeting agreed on the fee structure of $500/day for industrial participation in training, and $100 for the Workshop on ns-3, and free participation for students. Tom Henderson set up a registration system on Eventzilla to take payments. It was agreed to not make a travel grant program for the event, but to subsidize some of John Abraham's travel costs if he was able to attend. 3. Possibilities for 2014 events in Europe or elsewhere - MSWiM (October) - GENI Engineering Conference (October) - Simultech in Vienna (August) - other ideas? The meeting discussed participating in future events but no consensus was reached on events later in 2014. 4. next meeting scheduling, and any other business There was no other business.
