Detailed Description

Traceroute application sends one ICMP ECHO request with TTL=1, and after receiving an ICMP TIME EXCEED reply, it increases the TTL and repeat the process to reveal all the intermediate hops to the destination.


Config Paths

ns3::V4TraceRoute is accessible through the following paths with Config::Set and Config::Connect:

  • Remote: The address of the machine we want to trace.
  • Verbose: Produce usual output.
