ns-3.39 was released on July 5, 2023, due to contributions from twenty authors. This release features continued small upgrades to support the IEEE 802.11 models for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 features, and a new WifiBandwidthFilter class to filter out-of-band signals in the spectrum channel object. The 802.15.4 LR-WPAN models now models orphan scans and better support for MLME-SET and MLME-GET primitives. The 3GPP propagation model based on TR 38.901 was extended for outdoor-to-indoor propagation losses. Finally, the build system was extended to support pip packaging for Python bindings. Many additional improvements and bug fixes are listed in the RELEASE_NOTES and CHANGES files.
